Bohol Part 2 - Secret Haven Now Unraveled

As promised in my previous post, Oh My - Bohol Trip!, here is the part two of our Bohol trip. I can't believe we toured a lot of tourist spots!

Loboc River Cruise - Floating Restaurant

I was indeed in awe in the beauty of Bohol's popular tourist attractions. One of them is the the Loboc River. This is also the reason I look forward to seeing Bohol. The first I was amazed with Loboc River was in Cesar Montano's movie, Panaghoy sa Suba. The second time I was fascinated by its beauty was in another movie by John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo's Close to You.

I'm afraid I could not produce my own picture of the Loboc River. Hence, I was only able to capture it as a video. The color of the river was not as green as seen in the above picture which I only got from a site. The van driver/tourist guide told us it was because of the recent rains, hence the brown color of the river. Maybe I could go back there and ride in their Floating Restaurant again during summer.

So how was my experience? At first, I felt dizzy when we board the Floating Restaurant. But as I learned to get used to the flow of the river current, I started to enjoy it. I even find this trip so relaxing that I even imagined myself being massaged in a spa like experience. I would definitely love to return and ride a cruise again. The ride was indeed worth it!

Chocolate Hills - A Beautiful Sight to Behold (Bohol's famous landmark)

Oh I love them! My mom shared to me that before it was only by bus where they could sight the Chocolate Hills. We're also very grateful that the weather was beautiful. The van driver/tourist guide even told us we're blessed. And I agree since we've been praying about this trip. On the side, I was also amused to see the same people we saw in the Floating Restaurant we rode in Loboc river.

Butterfly Sanctuary

So what did I expect? Butterflies! Kidding aside, I thought I will just be touring alone around the place. My mom did not want to go with me since she has already seen a butterfly farm before. Anyways, a tour guide was there to orient me about the many kinds of butterflies. He even asked me if there is also a gay butterfly. I could not recall what I said but I do remember that I was 'makulit' or naughty that time.

It's yummy! I felt like an endorser of Madame Butterflies' Natural Fruit Ice Cream.

Billar Mahogany Man Made Forest

I liked our shot here courtesy of kuya who also acted as our tour guide. The shot was kinda Twilight-like effect for me because of the trees in the background.

The Hanging Bridge

I was at first slightly scared to cross the bamboo hanging bridge since it's a bit shaky when someone moves. Still I did it for thrill! When we already reached the end of the exit (second) footbridge on the other side, I find myself smiling when we saw two Korean girls screaming while walking and taking pictures on the bridge.

To conclude, I can say that I will always remember the good people of Bohol. I find it pleasing that most of the people we encountered were more than willing to assist tourists like us especially when we'd like to take our own picture.

I can't also believe the Boholanos have managed to maintain the cleanliness of their surroundings. You won't really find any trash even in their roads. Kuya also shared to us whoever is caught throwing his trash will be charged a fine. Indeed, Green is Clean!

With that, I'd definitely return to Bohol hopefully by next year. We'd probably travel to Panglao Island as a family. I missed going to the beach! =)
